New-Build Church — Altar, Choir and Congregation Sound

New-Build Church — Altar, Choir and Congregation Sound
Acoustic Delta — Europe

A newly built church needed its speech-reinforcement system designed and installed before the interior was finished and the walls were painted, so the equipment could be integrated cleanly and tuned once the space was complete. We took the project from design through to final calibration.

Capturing the service

Two sources matter in an Orthodox service and each was handled separately. At the altar, wired Shure MX-series microphones capture the clergy; on the kliros, dedicated Shure choir microphones pick up the singers. Keeping these paths distinct lets each be set at the right level without one masking the other.

Even coverage, inside and out

Inside, Audac loudspeakers are distributed for maximum evenness across the nave, so the service is equally clear wherever a worshipper stands. Around the building, all-weather horn loudspeakers carry the service to the churchyard for the overflow congregation on feast days.

Result

A reinforcement system built into the fabric of a new church, delivering clear speech and choir throughout the interior and out into the grounds.
