Acoustic Delta: acoustic design, sound systems and AV integration

A clear brief before an equipment list

A hall that hosts speeches, concerts and film screenings needs more than a selection of loudspeakers. The room, audience layout, microphones, video, lighting and controls all influence the result. Acoustic Delta brings these questions into one project conversation, so architectural and technical decisions can be considered together.

What to send with your enquiry

Send a floor plan and section if available, photographs, the venue location and the uses the space must support. Include approximate audience numbers, the equipment you already own and the problem you want to solve: unclear speech, uneven music coverage, difficult operation or a planned refurbishment. A budget range and target opening date help define a realistic first stage.

Define the work in stages

The initial brief should distinguish a room assessment, acoustic design, sound-system design and installation documentation. Agree which of these are needed before requesting a detailed quotation. Where measurements or a site visit are necessary, their scope should be stated separately. This makes it easier to compare proposals and to understand which decisions remain open.

What a useful handover should explain

The project documentation should identify the intended operating modes, the equipment and its connections, the responsibilities for installation and the checks required at commissioning. Discuss operator training and future access to settings as part of the brief. The aim is a system that staff can understand as well as a design that contractors can build.
